NANCY REBAL

Corsicana Artwork

In 2012 a small number of artists and writers began to leave their city lives for the town of Corsicana Texas. In Corsicana’s Historic Downtown they opened studio spaces in the large brick buildings built during the Oil Boom of the late 1800s/early 1900s. In the 19th Century Odd Fellows Hall the internationally-recognized Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency was founded.

Artist Nancy Rebal and writer David Searcy made the 5000 square foot 1924 LT Davis grocery store into their studio, where Nancy - a professional artist in wide ranging areas since 1975 - found herself turning inward. A flood of ideas led her to new investigations in diverse media.

This website features some of that work.
